Bodhgaya :11 to 16 Oct 2009
This was the first ever NNBY retreat in Bodhgaya, place where Budddha gained enlightenment about 2500 years ago. In this retreat, about 130 youth came together for 4 days from 6 states across India, creating between them a true “Casteless Society’ and giving many their first real taste of Sangha, or spiritual community. Dhammachari Subhuti (England) led the retreat on the theme of 'Educate, Agitate, Organise' - Dr. Ambedkar’s famous slogan. The youth learned meditation, performed puja. They played and enjoyed together. There were cultural programs.
